Siminn, the Icelandic Telco incumbent has bought all shares in the Danish company BusinessPhone A/S from Kærhøj ApS (100% owned by Nils Palmqvist) and Henrik Søndbjerg. The transaction will take effect on September 1st 2007.
With this transaction Siminn is acting on its strategy to support current and future Icelandic corporate customers as their partner in telecommunication and ICT services both in Iceland and northern Europe. Brynjólfur Bjarnason, CEO of Siminn says that he is very satisfied that both parties could come to a mutual agreement and he strongly believes that The BusinessPhone Group will be a good platform to strengthen Siminn´s growth and expansion in Denmark.
BusinessPhone A/S was founded in 1994 by Nils Palmqvist. It provides complete telecommunication services for small to medium sized businesses. It is one of the leading independent providers of communication services to the corporate SME business sector in Denmark. Customers are about 1,500 with 40,000 end-users.
